Lake house

The Lake House reworks and expands an existing Lyme residence as a gathering place for a growing family. New additions, porches, circulation, and living spaces are carefully integrated into the original house, creating a stronger connection between the interiors and the surrounding landscape.

Beyond the house, a golf-cart path leads through the property to the family’s dock on Roger’s Lake—a connection that gives the project much of its meaning. The house is intended as a place for children and grandchildren to return to over the years, with life extending naturally from the house through the woods and down to the water.
